Every year in October, the world’s best chocolate producers meet in Paris for the Salon de Chocolate – a true meeting of the haute cuisine of chocolate, connoisseurs and connoisseurs. Once again, several hundred exhibitors from 38 countries took part in this year’s fair. And one winner has already been announced: Diogo Vaz Chocolates brand from São Tomé e Príncipe wins the prize for the best chocolate in the world.

But other chocolate producers in São Tomé e Príncipe are also excellent: the famous Italian chocolatier Claudio Corallo with his own plantation and factory, the chocolate farmers’ cooperative CECAB with its new chocolate factory opened in 2023, or the small factory Paciência on Príncipe Island.
